White City Tel Aviv

Updated: Aug 17, 2023

I just love the white city project!

It is truly exciting to see the old, unique, beautiful, one of a kind buildings that were built by Israelis inspired by the Bauhaus style in Germany in the 20's of the last century coming back to life in the most extravagant way.

Can you imagine a better way of living than in a truly unique building that was built in the 20's and was restored to perfection and became a modern version of itself?

So when you are looking to rent an apartment in Tel Aviv, know that you might end up in one of those amazing, magical, full of history apartments :)

Now, some History

Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 and developed as a metropolitan city under the British Mandate in Israel, known as Palestina back then. The White City was constructed from the early 1920's until the 1950's, based on the urban plan by Sir Patrick Geddes, reflecting modern organic planning principles.

Those buildings were designed by architects who were trained in Europe where they practiced their profession before immigrating. They created an outstanding architectural ensemble of the Modern Movement in a new cultural context.

Obviously, those buildings got old, But they are so special and beautiful, that Tel Aviv city hall decided to go on a huge project and preserve those buildings to an exact version of themselves as they used to be 100 years ago, and that gives me goosebumps all over! I just love it.

Today you can walk around the city and just see those unbelievably beautiful creatures all over Tel Aviv and know that this how it it felt and looked like 100 years ago in Tel Aviv.

I have a verity of apartments for rent and for sale in those beautiful Bauhaus buildings :)

So f you think this is the type of living you want, contact me and I will put you in one!
